A few things...
One: In honor of the following post I have changed the comment settings. Let vinylrake live as he sees fit. Let others follow in his footsteps. A great nation built and lead by vinylrake.
And for those who don't know how to click on links, here is vinylrake's story about breadboxes:
my grandmother had a bread box, but she kept mostly cookies and other mass-manufactured baked desert type things in it. when we visited 2 or 3 times a year there were always yummy things in the breadbox. it wasn't until i was in my teens that i realized the open bag of chewier than normal circus peanuts that i was munching at christmas was the same bag i had opened when i was visiting over the summer.
i used to think my grandma was anticipating our arrival and stocking up on good things for us before we would visit. now i know she was just an indifferent housekeeper.
another childhood memory crushed.
Two: Now that the Jewish Christmas is over the review of each day has been combined into one big recap. You can find it here.
