I recently interviewed Rainn Wilson of Dwight Schrute fame and
I asked him to trust me and offer up the thoughts of his mind. I asked if he could close his eyes and
describe what popped into his head. We
were at the restaurant Moo… in Boston. This is what Mr. Wilson said:

“I am going to trust you. Here we go. I see a cow being flayed
in front of my eyes and turned into steaks. And its little cow soul flies up to heaven and turns into
butterflies. They start raining
butterfly poop down on a field where the people of heaven are playing
volleyball, beach volleyball, but they’re having an argument because they have
a hard time demarcating the outside…of the rectangle…of the court. They keep calling balls out when hit the
line. They are not sure if the
volleyball has to hit the line or inside the line. They don’t know what the rules are. There’s no internet in heaven. There’s no way for them to figure out the
rules to beach volleyball. So it’s
getting ugly up there, but you know what…John Lennon’s there…He comes in and he
has everyone join arms in a circle and they all remember how they got to heaven
and what is truly important and they decide to go eat tofu puffs.”
